It was full of all the repressed sexuality of English Country Interiors, with the prints bleached out. A shirt, the color of oysters, embodied the reserved topography of a room full of Agnes Martin paintings, in an empty London museum before closing. The buttons, a miniature China Cabinet. A seafood tower the night before, dripping its ice in abandon. The taste of brine. The next morning, the fog heavy and low on the lawn, no one wanted to leave bed. They sat, dressed in the shirt, reading some book or another with the particular delight of knowing the others were still sleeping upstairs.

The Rohmer Oyster shirt is made of vintage silk pongee woven in a subtle check and diamond design. Interiors are trimmed with cream silk charmeuse, and lace ladder insets, which punctate the print, and trace the lines of the torso. A collection of antique porcelain buttons lead to a Peter Pan collar and finish cuffed sleeves.
