A mint green jama, the color of Gabrielle’s chosen drink, frothed over cracked ice and mixed with Perrier by an overly-twisted spoon; gently echoed memories of a pistachio-tinted faux ostrich paper from a century-old stationary shoppe in Ginza. The silk of her shirt, buttoned linearly up her spine, tugged gently as she reached across the bar. The patterned men rendered in silk seemed almost to curtsey as their diaphanous skirts pulled downward toward their ochre tasseled slippers; empires and downfalls all wrapped around the body, perhaps even painted with the hair of a squirrel's tail. A scene unveiling a quite radical ecstasy in its restraint.

The Tawaraya Ricard shirt is made of custom-printed Italian silk crepe. Its interior French seams are bound with silk charmeuse, prioritizing the feel and the subjective experience of the garment for the wearer as much as its visual appearance. Horn buttons line the back of the shirt vertically, and a rounded collar sits confidently on its own, or with an Yves bow to echo the whimsical spirit of the print.
